Budget Journal Deletion spins and times out

We are trying to delete budget journals that are not approved/not posted via the Enter Budget Journal - budget line drop down process to delete a journal. When asked if we want to delete the journal, we say Yes and then the spinning starts. After about 10 minutes it stops spinning/times out and the journal is not getting deleted. Is anyone experiencing the same issue?

We can delete the same journal if we use the Mass Delete Journal page.
