Salary proration and dba proration

I am researching employee salary proration in EnterpriseOne 9.2, but I have not found any helpful documentation on this topic. Can I prorate an employee’s salary along with the corresponding DBAs, or does this functionality only apply to new hires? Should I consider a customization to enable this functionality? Thank you in advance.
