in Shipping Execution - EBS (MOSC) Question

Hello,

I'm trying to restrict shipping execution on shipping form if an attribute on sales order is not null . The system won't allow users to run shipping transactions in the system, users should be using custom processes. Can you help me about trigger event, trigger object and spesifically condition?
