Database Name Changed after patched the DB Systems 19.19 to 19.23

Hello All,

We successfully completed the ODA X9-2L upgrade from 19.19 to 19.23 with the following scope:

  • Bare Metal: Patched to 19.23 (no databases running at this layer).
  • Two DB Systems: OS and Grid Infrastructure (GI) upgraded to 19.23; DB homes retained at 19.19 due to Dbvisit replication constraints (replication requires identical DB home versions across sites).

Issue Observed: Database Name Change
Prior to patching, the database on BSO-DBLOS2-D01 was registered as:

PRE PATCH

[oracle@bso-dblos2-d01 ~]$ srvctl config database -d dr_los2
Database unique name: DR_LOS2
Database name: PRD_LOS2
Oracle home: /u01/app/oracle/product/19.0.0.0/dbhome_1
Oracle user: oracle
