Is there a way I can Autogenerate Lot Number during purchase order receipt?

Our users do not want to manually enter lot numbers while creating Purchase Order receipts.

Is there a way to configure the system—at both the Inventory Organization level and the Item level—so that lot numbers are generated automatically when a receipt is created?

The goal is for the user to simply complete the receipt process, and the system should assign the lot number without any manual input.
