Can existing organization with inventory transactions be enabled for Project Manufacturing?

We are assessing impact if any of implementing/enabling organization for Project Manufacturing at a later date. The inventory organization will be active with Inventory/Procurement and MRP transactions and want to enable the same organization at later date for Project Manufacturing. Are there any system restrictions to enable the organization for Project Manufacturing and complete the associated setups.
