DBCA in oracle home can't see ASM diskgroups .....

Problem Description

DBCA started from the Oracle Database home cannot see the ASM instance running from the GRID home. Because of this, I cannot select the ASM instance as the target location for database data files.

I am using Oracle Linux in Oracle VirtualBox.
