PeopleSoft as REST Service Provider Using ASF Endpoints with Azure Entra OAuth2 Authorization

Hello PeopleSoft Community,

We are exploring the use of PeopleSoft as a REST Service Provider using the Application Services Framework (ASF) with Azure Entra ID OAuth 2.0 for authorization. I would appreciate any guidance, lessons learned, or gotchas from anyone who has gone down this path.

Our Environment:

  • PeopleTools: 8.61.09
  • HCM PUM Image: PUM 41
  • Current SSO: Azure Entra ID using SAML for PeopleSoft browser-based SSO authentication (already working)
  • Web Server: WebLogic 14.1.1

What We Are Trying to Accomplish:

We have a separate application that needs to call delivered ASF REST API endpoints in PeopleSoft HCM and we want to secure these API calls using
