Manufacturing lot effective days- shopfloor or calendar days

We have a concern with the effective days. Already reviewed E1: 31: 34: Lot Effective Dates - Manufacturing and Purchasing DaysKB559262

It doesn't talk about which days it takes into account though, calendar or shopfloor. In our shopfloor weekends are closed. And number of days of testing are added in the manufacturing effective days in the Item branch. However, when the Requested date of the work order is on the friday and the manufacturing effective days in item branch is let's say 3 days, wo efffective date is calculated for Monday. However that doesn't give us 3 usual days for testing but only one day which was the friday per the logic of dates. Is there a way to have
