Slowness with JRNL1_WS.xlsm GL journal import file

We utilize the JRNL1_WS.xlsm import file for uploading GL journals into PeopleSoft Financials. Since the new file was released last fall, we have had users complaining about the upload speed. Some of them have quite a few sheets saved in their import file; it might take them 6 minutes to import a 10 line journal. Has anyone else experienced slowness in the GL import file delivered last fall?

I do see article KB858128 that mentions Bug ID 38259459 but we are already on Image 9.2.55 PeopleTools 8.62.09.
