Picking Rule (FEFO + Locator ASC) Not Following Expected Locator Sequence During Pick Release

Dear All,

Hi. We are using Oracle EBS 12.2 (Inventory, Order Management, Shipping Execution) without WMS.

We have defined a Picking Rule with the following sort criteria:

  1. Lot – FEFO (Rank 1)
  2. Subinventory – ASC (Rank 2)
  3. Locator – ASC (Rank 3)

All inventory is in the same:

  • Organization
  • Subinventory (Main)
  • Lot, as sample: (WH26001).
  • Expiry date (same within the lot)

Locators are structured in 3 segments and correctly ordered numerically:

For Example, for the sample lot:

B.02.75
B.02.82
B.02.83
B.02.85
B.02.88

On-hand quantities (before Pick Release) were available in all these locators with sufficient quantities.

Expected behavior:
System should allocate from locators in ascending order:
B.02.75 → B.02.82 → B.02.83 → ...

Howdy, Stranger!
