RDBMS dual Oracle Home for EBS R12.2

Is it possible to configure Oracle database binaries (RDBMS) to use dual Oracle Home for EBS R12.2?

Similar to EBS app tier I would like to have active and inacvite RDBMS Oracle Homes. Tha database will run inder an active OH and inactive OH would to be used for patching. And later the database would be switched to this new Oracle Home becoming active OH. Is it possible?
