How to Prevent Enrollment of Non-Qualified Dependents During Open Enrollment and Life Events

We are using Multiple Document Upload & Approval for Dependents in eBenefits and are running into couple of issues.

Scenario 1:

An existing Dependent - Not Marked as "Qualified"

During Open Enrollment or Life Event enrollment, the dependent is still displayed and can be enrolled into the plan.

Scenario 2:

An employee previously enrolled a dependent into a benefit plan(prior to implementing dependent verification functionality). They are not yet marked as Qualified

During a later Open Enrollment event, the dependent is automatically preselected based on the employee's current elections.

Based on the documentation I reviewed, I found support for dependent document upload, approval workflows, certifications, dependent relationships, and enrollment processing. However, I did not find documentation explicitly stating that a dependent not marked as "Qualified" is automatically excluded from enrollment or automatically removed from existing benefit elections.
