OTM Pallet Build Constraints
Pallet Build Constraints
- The weight and dimensions of each item should be considered when building a pallet to ensure optimal space utilization and load stability. Once either the maximum allowable pallet weight or maximum allowable pallet height is reached, no additional items should be added, even if capacity remains in the other dimension.
- In addition, each item or case may have its own stacking and load-bearing limits that must be respected during palletization.
- For Rainbow pallets containing mixed products, a methodology will need to be defined to determine the permissible stacking weight based on the load-bearing capacity of the lowest supporting items, as a single product-specific weight limit may not apply.
