Can JDBC datasources from web UI be used from EAS lite as rules file - Essbase 21c

I have an ASO cube application that is enabled with Managed by Essbase Administration Services. I would like to know if the rule files used to build dimensions and data load can use the JDBC data sources that was created on the essbase web UI interface. I have a feeling that its supported only on the web UI but it would be nice to get confirmation.
