How to create a custom bar coded label to print on demand in Oracle EBS

in Discrete Manufacturing - EBS (MOSC) Question

Oracle WIP and no WMS or MSCA is implemented. Requirement is to print a custom barcoded label to scan Part Number, Work Order Number, Completion Subinventory and Locator from the label. Need suggestion on how to create this label and make it available in Discrete Job page to print on demand. Our approach is to create a label with scannable barcodes using BI Publisher and creating a custom concurrent request and attaching it to the Tools menu in Discrete Job form. Please let us know if this approach will work or is there a better way to handle this requirement.
