RAC One NODE ODA MAA

We are looking to move to more quarterly patching than we have done previously. We use Rac One node on ODA.
I am confused on 1 part in the 19.31 patching guide versus the rdbms RAC One Node MAA guide.

Regular RDBMS supports standing up a second instance (true rac) just during patching, relocating services and thenback to RAC 1.
But I cant tell how this is handled in ODA patching.

The doc says essentially install the new patched home alongside. Then update/move to the new home.
Rolling is a flag. BUt it doesnt describe what that does.

Can you point to a DOC or section that shows ODACLI will spawn up a second instance for purpose of a rolling patch with service relocation and drainoff to minimize downtime using the ODA supported commands
