Setting up a second Maximum Yearly Deduction limit for 401(k)
Hi everyone,
We have two separate 401(k) plans (Hybrid and Legacy), and we need to automatically stop the employer 5% Hybrid match once the employee hits the annual employer contribution cap. For 2026, the IRS Highly Compensated Employee compensation limit is $360,000, which puts the employer match cap at $18,000.
The issue is that we’re already using the User Defined Limit with Maximum Yearly Deduction for our Legacy plan’s employer match (a flat $600 annual cap). Since Oracle only provides one Maximum Yearly Deduction option under that limit type, we can’t set up another yearly employer‑match limit for the Hybrid plan.
