Are there any func Material Commitment Approval process and Commitment Blocking for Specific items?

in JDEdwards World (MOSC) Question

Hello,

We have following requirements form business.

  1. Can you please suggest if there is a commitment approval process that is available in standard JDE? Meaning before an item/qty is been committed to any order (sale/WO) can we have any approvals in place?
  2. Can you please suggest if there is a commitment approval process that can be applied on a specific item level? Example: Say some 30 items have been categorized with some code and commitment should not happen against those 30 items unless those are released for any reason.
