DG4MSQL 19c Windows gateway connecting to a SQL Server Always On multi-subnet listener
We are moving our sqlserver databases to AlwaysOn cluster.
When pointing to the listener oracle will be presented with 2 ips (primary and secondary)
Currently the gateway works well with our current setup Oracle dblink →through Gateway —>sql server
So my question ( I also have an SR opened)
When DG4MSQL resolves a multi-subnet AG listener that returns multiple IP addresses, does it:
- Try all returned IPs?
- Try them sequentially?
- Cache a single IP?
- Respect DNS TTL changes?
- Support behavior equivalent to MultiSubnetFailover?
Thank you
