Converting Savings Plans

We are implementing some savings plan setup changes that will involve converting everyone's savings plan to a different benefit plan (same election just a different benefit plan code). Has anyone done this, and if so, was a ben admin snapshot involved? We were looking at Excel-to-CI but thinking also a ben admin snapshot may be needed to tell ben admin these plan conversions have occurred. Is there any KB article that walks through this, and if not, can anyone detail the steps to do this the right way so that ben admin doesn't get disrupted or confused? Thanks!
