JDE 9.2 – Fixed BOM Component Treated as Variable in Current Cost
We are investigating a manufacturing cost variance in JD Edwards EnterpriseOne 9.2.
A component is defined as Fixed Quantity on both the BOM and the work order parts list. However, the Current cost appears to multiply the fixed component quantity/cost by the work order quantity, effectively treating it as variable.
This creates a large difference between Current and Planned cost in Production Cost Inquiry/F3102. The Cost Accounting team confirmed that the Actual cost variance is zero; the large values are limited to Engineering and Planned variance and mostly offset each other.
Additional observations:
- The BOM was not changed during work order processing.
