Configure LDAP for Active Directory - never finishes, locks up management interface on 8.8. v95

Dear Oracle community

We are using a ZFSSA storage appliance ZS32 and are on the latest code rev 8.8. v95

We are trying to use the appliance, lately, just as a netapp replacement (the original test case for why fishworks was built, right?) Which, simply, means

Smb3 server

HA

Joined to Active Directory

Uses active directory users and groups


I have joined the appliance to the AD domain at our university successfully

The problem I have is that the “Configure LDAP for Active Directory” button, when I click it, 

Either 1) locks up the management interface  or 2) never returns and dumps a “not responding, wait or cancel” web message
