Sure. You have to otherwise DB and App contexts won't match.

Make sure you shutdown the DB before running adcfgclone.pl for dbTier.

This clone process, will automatically create context file, templates and does the related configurations and the brings up the DB at the end of the process.

I assume you do this on the db files those are backed up with "Cold" backup process.

what i am worry is that will it re-create control file.
because the db is data-guard with my primary db.
the re-create control may cause problem to the data-guard.

pls confirm the running of adcfgclone.pl only creating context file, dir etc.
