Sales Invoice Field Printing

Hello,

We need the Shipping Carrier field on the Invoice form to print on the pdf.  It's not available.  How do I get this to show? 

Also, we need the Sales Order date to print on the Invoice pdf as well. 

I tried to create custom fields and source from these fields, but I couldn't get that to work.

Any ideas?
