Impact of changing costing preferences for negative stock

Hi,

I wanted to know what would be the impact of changing the costing preferences for negative stock. We have been operating with the costing preference for negative stock as last purchase price. If I change to average cost will this affect historical transactions or is it only going to relate to future transactions. Please advise.

Welcome back to the community!

Changes on Use Cost Estimate for negative inventory would be prospective in nature ?. It will not affect the historical/past transactions. That is also the reason why we can retoggle/change this even if there are underwater transactions on closed periods.
