How to analyze Opportunity -> Quote -> Sales Order -> Invoice

I would like to analyze the flow from Opportunity -> Quote -> Sales Order -> Invoice.

To be clear, I would like to see the create date for Opp, Quote, Sales Order and Invoice on a single line. The goal being a formula field which shows the number of days between the 4 transactions in a dataset. Then use a pivot to determine the average number of days between opportunity and invoice.

Clearly not all Opportunities make it to invoice.

I've tried many versions of this. My challenges range from the data set not returning the data needed OR the data set returning the data but is VERY slow or fails 2 out of 5 times it is run.
