Advanced Inventory Management - stop item being stocked in a single location

edited Mar 16, 2021 10:43PM in Ask A Guru 5 comments

We have been testing Advanced Inventory Management to determine Preferred Stock Level and Reorder Points manually.

I now have the situation where a single store (Location Salisbury) wants to stop stocking that item.

I've turned off the Auto-Calculate fields, zeroed the Reorder Point and Preferred Stock Level fields, but I assume that as soon as AIM runs again, it will re-calculate the preferred stock levels.

Over time (assuming the store don't sell the items) I presume the calculations will return 0 - but is there a way to stop it triggering for restocking in the short term?

The overall setting for the item is 28 days stock, I wondered if i could put in -28 as the Safety Stock level for Salisbury, but negative numbers are not allowed.

Howdy, Stranger!
