How to let users can only delete their records?

Hi,

I  need to set up our users full permission on vendor bills, but they just can delete their created record.

I searched the SuiteAnswer but no found any good suggestions.

How to let users can only delete their records? Can workflow do it?

Greetings @Angel Chang,

Since Vendor Bills in NetSuite do not track the user who creates the record, you would need to implement this first for newly created records moving forward by creating a Custom Field with the configuration shown in the screenshots below:

Note: The Custom Field will be blank for existing records created prior to the setup of this field.

After setting up the above custom field, create a Workflow that will remove the Delete option with a Condition which tells the Workflow that the option is removed only when the user is editing records that they did not create. See screenshots below for a sample Workflow Setup:

Hi @Angel Chang,

The new Workflow should not conflict with the Approval Workflow because it only removes a button that is unrelated to the Vendor Bill Approval Process.

Hopefully this clarifies things.
