Pass value from URL to custom record type

I created a custom Record Type and using it to gather data from an Online Web Form.

I am trying to pass a promotional name from URL but it is not working. I am not getting any errors but the field isnt populating.

Steps I used are listed in the image.

  1. Added Promotions to the Custom Record Type
  2. Online Custom Record Form - Added Promotions field and have it set to hidden
  3. Online Form Template - Added it to the form as well
  4. in the iframe I tried to pass it as a parameter

Thanks for your help!

On the Online Forms .... Template I added the field I want to populate <nlcustrecordpromotion_promo></nlcustrecordpromotion_promo>
