Question

I set billing schedule like this photos then will an invoice be created automatically when the date is reached?

or I need to create each invoice manually every time?

If so Is it possible to check the reminding somewhere when the specified date is reached?

This is not a purely automatic process. Billing Schedules introduces a functionality, how you can invoice a Sales Order over a range of time or a contract term - only in this part it is "auto-process".

Enhancement # 80385 Sales Order > Billing Schedules > Ability to have Invoices automatically created from a Sales Order that has been associated with a Billing Schedule is currently filed to have the functionality for an invoice be created automatically when the Next Bill date is reached. You can vote for this enhancement on the SuiteIdeas page.

To sum up, there are 2 ways how you can create Invoices using the Billing Schedule in general:

1. It's the option to manually open each Sales Order and click on the Next Bill button;

2. Or you may use the bulk functionality to generate more Invoices at a time using the page Transactions > Sales > Invoice Sales Orders.

You may create a Transaction Saved Search to see Sales Orders associated with Billing Schedules and their Next Bill Date.

1. Navigate to Lists > Search > Saved Searches > New

2. Select Transaction

3. Enter the Search Title

4. In the Criteria tab, add the following:

* Type = any of Sales Order
* Billing Schedule = none of - None -
* Main Line = False

NOTE: Select Main Line is True if Sales Orders with Billing Schedules are found under the Billing tab.

Select Main Line is False if Sales Order with Billing Schedules are found under the Line Items.

5. In the Results tab, add the following:

* Document Number
* Date
* Name
* Billing Schedule
* Next Bill Date

6. Select Group as Summary Type for all the Results fields.

NOTE: You can add more fields depending on your reporting needs.

7. Click Save & Run.

You can use this Saved Search as a guide to what Sales Order needs to be billed by checking their Next Bill Date.
