NSC | Account Search > Separate columns for Parent and Child
The account list on the Chart of Account page cannot be customized to show the parent and child accounts. If you look at it now you'll see that the child account is listed below its parent account.
We can create a Saved Search to show this separately in columns.
1. Go to Reports > Saved Searches > All Saved Searches > New
2. Choose Account
3. Enter Search Title
4. On the Results Tab: put the following
- Display Name | Summary Type: Group | Custom Label: Child Account
- Formula (Text) | Formula: DECODE({systemnotes.field}, 'Child Of', {systemnotes.newvalue}, ' ') | Summary Type: Group | Custom Label: Parent Account
5. Add more field if you need to
