NSC | FAM > Possible Causes Why The Asset/s Did Not Depreciate

edited Aug 22, 2025 9:55PM in Accounting / ERP

Here are some of the reasons why Assets did not depreciate.

  1. The Subsidiary set on the Asset Record may be set to Inactive.

To resolve this, set the Subsidiary Record to Active.

  1. Set Up > Company > Subsidiaries
  2. Click Edit on the Subsidiary Record
  3. Remove the tick mark on Subsidiary is Inactive
  4. Click Save

Values on the Asset Record may have been edited but the Reset Asset Values was not triggered

  1. Edit the Asset Record and update all the necessary fields
  2. On the General Tab, set the Depreciation Active field to False
  3. Click on Save
  4. Navigate to Fixed Assets > Setup > System Setup

Howdy, Stranger!
