NSC | FAM > How to Resolve Error when Deleting Assets
Scenario:
An asset was incorrectly imported to the system. The user would like to delete the asset however the system throws in an error,
- Fixed Assets > Set Up > Delete Assets
- Add the Asset from the Drop Down menu
- Click the Delete Button
Error: A warning message: Notice: This record cannot be deleted because it has dependent records.
Note: that if the Asset was created from a Proposal and there are already associated journal entries, the process will fail.
Solution:
The user will need to delete the corresponding dependent records first before proceeding on deleting the assets.
