Only allow child custom records to be created if linked to parent record
Hi There
I have created a child custom record called 'notes'.
The idea is that this will be a sub record of the transaction record which can be created and saved when the transaction record is in view mode.
I don't want users to be able to create a 'stand alone' child record though.
Example use case in demo account:
Once this is saved, it should show up under the communications tab
What I don't want is for a user to be able to create a new note that is not linked to a transaction (i.e. the parent)
Currently, the following scenario lets me create a record
