NSC | FAM > Asset Disposal in Decimals

edited Jan 10, 2024 8:11PM in Accounting / ERP

Disposing assets that has a quantity set to 1 cannot be partially disposed by percentage. Asset disposal can only be done in whole numbers. However, we can first edit the quantity in the asset record and then dispose it.

Example Scenario:

Asset 001

Quantity: 1

Status is Depreciating

The user would like to dispose .30 / 30% of the asset.

Solution:

  1. Open the FAM Asset record in Edit mode
  2. Under Maintenance tab > edit Quantity = 100
  3. Click Save
  4. Partially dispose "30 quantities" of the asset.
