How to source a field value from one record to another?

edited Jun 2, 2025 2:29PM in Ask A Guru 5 comments

Hi!

I am trying to figure out if it is possible to source a custom field value from one record into the custom field value on another record.

For example, I have created a custom field "Damaged Quantity" that will live on item receipts and our WMS will sync the qty of damaged items into this field when they are received in the WMS. I would like the value of this field to show on the related purchase order as well. I have tried exposing the same custom field on the PO record, but it is not showing the qty on the item receipt.

Howdy, Stranger!
