Report: Inventory Activity Detail - Need preferred vendor name

I need a column that presents the preferred vendor name on the report "Inventory Activity Detail"

I have tried the following:

1) Inventory Item: Preferred Vendor: Name

2) Inventory Item: Vendor Name/Code

In both cases, the column is blank.

Any pointers would be greatly appreciated.
