Logging in as Specific Role

Question

A problem some of my users are having:

They have 2 Roles: Employee Center and Regular User Center.

As part of our PO Approval process, they receive an email with a link that takes them to the PO screen. The link is:

https://acct#.app.netsuite.com/app/accounting/transactions/purchord.nl?id=447827&whence=

The problem is, if they last logged out in their Employee Center role, they receive an error message:

"Permission Violation: You need a higher level of the 'Transactions -> Purchase Order' permission to access this page. Please contact your account administrator"

If they last logged out as their Regular User Center role, they do not receive this error.

This error persists even if their Regular User Center role is set as Default.

Any work around for this error other than removing their Employee Center role?

Any help is appreciated!

Edit: I do have Transaction: Purchase Order: Full and Custom Record: PO Approval/PO Rejection: Full permissions in the Employee Center role, but they seem to have not made a difference.

Hi @Melissa H,

This is the standard behavior of an Employee Center role. It can only view or edit the Purchase Orders they create. You may vote for the existing SuiteIdeas logged under Enhancement #193387 Employee Center > allow users access to Purchase orders (requests) other than those that they have created. As a workaround, you can create a workflow using the Return User Error Action to let the user know to login using a different role.
