Why does Retained Earnings is different in a customized balance sheet report and the detailed report

edited Jun 2, 2025 2:34PM in Ask A Guru 7 comments

Hi, my client has reached out to me for a weird matter. Their issue is that they have created a customized report of balance sheet for one of their subsidiaries. On that report, a chart of account has 855k balance being shown, where as when we click on it and open the detailed report, the balance at the end is shown 631k. 631k is the correct balance, but why is it showing 855k on the main report? What reasons could cause this, even if I open the filters, the report is correctly filtered and does not include any irrelevant period

Howdy, Stranger!
