How to Source a Customer Field to a Transaction Line Field

hello people,

I have a field on customer AccountId {accountnumber}, I want to source it to body level and line level of Sales Order.

I am able to source it on Body, for line level, I am using the same this, the sourcing isn't working as expected.

Field name: Line Account ID

Store value : Unchecked

Source list: Customer/(tried with entity too)

Source field: Account

When I create a SO, the account id does show up on lines, but when I save it it vanishes from there. Body level sourcing works fine.
