NSC | Effect of Editing a Deposit Transaction that was already reconciled
Editing the a Deposit record that has already been reconciled will have different effects depending on the field that will be edited.
Here are a few scenarios to help you understand it:
Scenario 1: Reconciled Deposit Transaction - the amount has been changed.
- The changes in the record will be saved
- The matched transactions will be undone. (Check this by going to Transactions > Bank > Match Bank Data > Choose the Bank Account - here you'll see that the deposit transaction that was previously reconciled is available for matching again).
Scenario 2: Reconciled Deposit Transaction - the account has been changed
- The changes in the record will be saved
