Reversing Ownership Transfers
We use Inbound Shipments, and Ownership Transfers. We then receive the Inbound Shipment which links to the Purchase Order.
We sometimes have a need to reverse the Ownership Transfer. If our Accounting Period is open we delete it. However, where our Accounting Period is Closed we can't do that.
We can create a Journal to reverse the accounting impact, but the Journal is not linked to an Item. The Ownership transfer is linked to an Item. Therefore the Item is still showing 'Location External Quantity in Transit' on the Item record.
Is there a better way to reverse the full impact of the Ownership Transfer?
