User event script does not fire on web store user edit

We have a simple user event script, deployed on the customer, lead and prospect record. When logging into web store and editing the user, the script does not execute. We made sure the context for "Web store" on the deployment is selected. All contexts in the "execution context" is selected. When making edits to the lead record in the UI, the script executes and shows info in log.

Any ideas why scripts don't execute on web store? We experienced similar issues with workflows but I figured we'd tackle script first as they are easier to troubleshoot.
