2024.1 CSV Import for work orders

Hi all,

The 2024.1 Release notes contains the below text:

Manufacturing Enhancements

NetSuite 2024.1 includes the following Manufacturing enhancements:

■ CSV Import for work orders

I tried checking it in our Release Preview environment but I am still not able to import work orders. Also I cannot find any other documentation about it.

Does anyone know if this is posible and how in this latest release?

It turns out that this is only available if the ‘Advanced Bill of Materials’ feature is enabled. This wasn’t the case in our instance, only the ‘Work Orders’ feature was enabled.

After enabling the feature I could see the ‘Work Order’ record type available for import.

Before enabling the feature however, do please check the impact. Netsuite describes the following about it:

Enabling this feature can introduce changes to assembly, item revision, manufacturing routing, work order, assembly build, and assembly unbuild records. These changes could affect customizations and integrations related to these records.

Before moving Advanced BOM to production, test it thoroughly in your sandbox or Release Preview account. If you can only test on production, do it during off peak hours.
