Why are the standard cost and inventory cost template fields greyed out?

Hi

I have an assembly item that is using standard cost as a costing method.

On the item record, under locations, why is the inventory cost template field greyed out?

Also, why is the adjacent (left hand of this column) field 'standard cost' greyed out?
