NSC | Edit Custom Column Memo in Transaction on Locked Periods

Scenario

User wants to know if it's possible for Memo (custom column) on Invoice/ Credit Memo transactions to be set as editable, regardless of whether the period is locked or not.

Solution

Users can mark the Allow Non-G/L Changes checkbox on the periods where they want to make changes on transactions that do not affect the general ledger such as the memo field.
