NSC | Run Intercompany Elimination: The account XX is an inactive account. Please correct the...
SCENARIO:
User is tasked with running intercompany eliminations in their OneWorld instance. During the process, they encounter an error message stating, "The account (xx) is an inactive account. Please correct the import file and resubmit."
User wants to to identify and update the inactive accounts in their import file to ensure that only active accounts are used for eliminations.
SOLUTION
This issue arises because one or more of the accounts involved in the intercompany elimination process have been marked as inactive, preventing the completion of the elimination entries. The number in the error is usually the internal id, of the account. However, user may want to use a transaction dataset to review the transactions associated to the inactive elimination account.
