SAML (Security Assertion Markup Language) SSO (Single Sign-On) is a protocol that allows users to authenticate once and gain access to multiple applications and services without needing to log in separately to each one. It is widely used in enterprise environments to simplify user authentication and improve security.

While setting up the SSO, some users encounter the error message: “Error while reactivating user <email>: To give this person login access, please specify a role.”

One of the causes is that multiple employee records share the same e-mail address. To fix this, make sure that each employee’s e-mail address is unique for those who will be using
