Alternative Warehouse Locations for Items that will not yet be sold

Hi,

I'm looking for an approach to NetSuite in handling this process.

  1. Customer calls to request to repair a machine
  2. We sent out a repair man that travels to site bringing multiple parts already. Example 12 parts
  3. During repair we only consume 8 parts. So what will be billed to customer is only the 8 parts the remaining 4 will be brought back to inventory

I'm looking for a way to keep track of items brought during repair and I want to make sure that the items brought are not available for sale until such time the repair has been completed.

Can you advise on what should we do to account for this process?
